Artists Michael Dowling and Roy Nydorf featured in Solo Exhibits at The Waiting Room Gallery

The Waiting Room Gallery continues its record of strongly curated shows with two solo exhibits scheduled to round out 2021 and welcome in the new year. Despite its status as an “alternative art space” the quality of art in the bright, airy corridors of 3258 Larimer Street in RiNo rivals that of any traditional gallery and continues to introduce well-regarded artists from other parts of the country in addition to locally known artists. Curator Dan Drossman is proud to welcome Professor emeritus Roy Nydorf from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina. His paintings in this exhibit includes early, small works depicting human and animal portrayals, landscapes and mythical subjects. Local Artist Michael Dowling will showcase paintings that explore surreal figures and portraits with a historical context. The public is invited to an Opening Reception for Roy Nydorf: Intimate Works and Michael Dowling: Myths of Realism on Friday, December 17 from 6-10 pm and a Closing Reception on Friday, January 28 from 6-10pm or to view the show Monday-Friday from 9 am-5 pm or by appointment via thewaitingroomdenver@gmail.com.
